On this page you will find a reading plan for the year that will focus on Jesus. This plan was developed by Bobby Valentine and is meant to work together with his lessons throughout the 2015 year, focusing on getting to know Jesus. While his lessons occured in 2015 and can be heard in the audio directory, the readings are timeless.

Along with the readings an audio file for that reading is also available. The readings use the Contemporary English Version (CEV). There is no perfect translation and the CEV is no exception. It was chosen, however, because of its readability and because it "sounds different," causing the listener to possibly pick up on things that they may have missed before.

Each reading is dated, but feel free to read/listen at your own pace. It is our prayer that this will be useful, encouraging and challenging to you.

UPDATE: As of Febuary 1 I have switched to reading the English Standard Version (ESV). I found that the CEV, in their attempt to make it completely everyday language, wound up losing the intent of the authors.
